RFID security gates for libraries – protecting your collection
The security gates are designed to discreetly deter thieves without intimidating patrons.
SOUND AND LIGHT ALARM
If someone intentionally or unintentionally passes through the security gates with secured media, the gates will alert staff and patrons with light and/or sound.
The gates work independently and do not need to communicate with other units in order to identify RFID tags with an active alarm. This reduces the risk of circumventing the system. All the gates can detect EAS or AFI alarms.
KEEPING TRACK OF TRAFFIC
When combined with the unique Lyngsoe Track Mate™ software, detailed statistics of patron entry and exit through the gates become available. When the alarm is activated, the Track Mate™ also sends item-ID from the active tag to the ILS/LMS and displays the author and title information on the staff screen.
